Glenveagh National Park

Glenveagh Natioinal Park is situated in the heart of the Derryveagh Mountains in the north west of County Donegal. It consists of approximately 16,540 hectares of mountains, lakes, glens and woods, with a herd of red deer. A Scottish style castle is surrounded by one of the finest gardens in Ireland, which contrast with the rugged surroundings. The Visitor Centre houses exhibitions and audio-visual show.

Ionad Cois Locha

Ionad Cois Locha Visitors' Centre is located in Dunlewey in Gweedore. It consists of a restored two storey farmhouse with a farm museum and a large range of animals. Located alongside Dunlewey Lake at the foot of Mount Errigal the centre provides a intriguing insight into life in this area during the middle of the last century. It is a fun day out for all, having guided storytelling boat trips on the lake as well as boats that can be hired privately. There are also guided tours of the Weaver's Cottage and demonstrations. Children can explore the adventure play area and admire the farmyard animals. You can experience the peacefulness of Dunlewey Lough and appreciate the stunning views of Errigal and the Derryveagh mountains.
